Keep reading over the summer!

Thank you for all your support with your child’s reading journal this year. It’s lovely to see the progress the children make when we all work together to encourage and support them to read and love books and stories.

Check out Summer Reading Challenges at Lewisham & Deptford Lounge libraries. This year’s challenge has a space theme and looks really fun. Find more info here:

Your child can also have fun developing their reading and maths skills on SUMDOG which has a range of Maths and Literacy games and activities linked to the National Curriculum. Your child’s individual SUMDOG login details are attached to the front of their homework folder. Go to https://www.sumdog.com/

Please check at home for any stray Myatt Garden books and return them to us as soon as possible.

If you want to get out and about this summer, the following website has some great ideas for trips within London and around the country.

Remember wherever you are and whatever you do, there are always opportunities to read!

Have a restful and safe summer and we’ll see you on September 3rd at our ‘Meet the Teacher’ meetings and we look forward to seeing all the children for the start of the new term on Wednesday 4th September.
