Myatt PTA: Christmas Fair – Volunteers Needed!

Preparations are already under way for the Christmas Fair on Friday 1 December and with your help, we hope to match the £2,700 we raised last year. The Fair is one of our biggest fundraising events and one of the most popular with the kids but it takes a huge effort to make it happen.

Knowing in advance what ‘parentpower’ we have lined up will help us to organise the Fair more efficiently. So, we are asking parents to sign up to run a stall or help with set up, or clear up, by Friday 17 November, so that we can plan the event based on the resources we have.

To run all the activities we had last year, we need volunteers to fill 42 one-hour time slots. And with a bit of creative time management, perhaps share childcare and volunteering with another parent or volunteer for a child-friendly activity where your child can stay with you – I’m sure we can meet that target.

Most urgently, we need two volunteers to cook two trays of sausages in the school oven and transfer them to a warming plate for serving in hot dog rolls. Could you and a friend do this together?

If you can’t help out on the day, there are lots of other ways to get involved, from making sweets for the Craft Stall, baking or buying cakes and biscuits for the cake stall, returning your money tree envelope, donating chocolate and bottles for the chocolate tombola stall, donating raffle prizes or asking local businesses to do so, or donating money to cover the costs associated with the event.

Any help you can offer is appreciated enormously. Email: or contact Sara Baladi via Classlist to offer your help and support.

Thank you.
