Your child’s journey through Reception
A group of Lions and Tigers go down to the allotment on Friday mornings and observe what has been happening since they last visited.
The children do different activities depending on the weather and what needs doing – e.g. planting seeds, observing bulbs/plants emerging, etc.
Take One Picture
This year we have looked very closely at the painting ‘The Battle of San Romano’ by Paolo Uccello.
We talked about all the things we could see and made drawings from the painting. We then decided to design our own flags.
We have been learning all about different patterns and finding and making them everywhere…..
It’s cold outside…..
But that doesn’t stop our play and learning in outside area… Look at all the fun we’ve been having!
Chinese New Year
Tiger and Lion classes really enjoyed our learning about Chinese New Year.
We learnt about how it is celebrated, did our own dragon dance and tried lots of tasty Chinese noodles.
For details of our learning this term, please see our Spring Term Plan here: Reception Spring 2020 Newsletter
Tigers and Lions had so much fun on our trip to the seaside.
There was so much to do….. splashing in the sea, playing with our friends and making lots and lots of sandcastles!
Tigers and Lions had a great session in Luxmore Gardens with Rose from the RSPB.
We thought about all the animals who might live or visit in Luxmore Gardens and thought about what we would see on our way.
We listened to a story called The Snail in the Rain and then went to explore, searching for creatures and collecting natural items.
EYFS Garden Party
We all had so much fun at our garden party, there were lots of activities, food and music and we were very lucky to have good weather too!
