Your child’s journey through Reception
Tigers and Lions had so much fun on our trip to the seaside.
There was so much to do….. splashing in the sea, playing with our friends and making lots and lots of sandcastles!
Tigers and Lions had a great session in Luxmore Gardens with Rose from the RSPB.
We thought about all the animals who might live or visit in Luxmore Gardens and thought about what we would see on our way.
We listened to a story called The Snail in the Rain and then went to explore, searching for creatures and collecting natural items.
EYFS Garden Party
We all had so much fun at our garden party, there were lots of activities, food and music and we were very lucky to have good weather too!
Lions and Tigers planted seeds for the Myatt Garden Meadow.
World Book Day
Tigers and Lions have really enjoyed their World Book Day activities this year. Tigers focused on the story Green Eggs and Ham, they thought of lots of rhyming words as well as making green eggs and ham biscuits, playdough green eggs and ham and acting out the story using props from the story sack.
Lions focused on the story My Cat Likes to Hide in Boxes and thought of lots of rhyming words, decorated a big box and acted out the story by climbing inside it, made some cat themed biscuits and did lots of writing about the story.
Tigers and Lions loved the chance to find out more about playing the violin. Everyone got a turn to hold the violin and try and make some music!
Take One Picture
Tigers and Lions really enjoyed learning about different types of boats for Take One Picture this year. We looked at ‘Men of the Docks’ and had a go at designing and making our own boat model.
Chinese New Year
Tigers and Lions celebrated Chinese New Year by listening, making lanterns, writing Chinese Symbols, decorating dragons and doing a very loud dragon dance!
It’s icy outside!!!
Tigers and Lions loved using our outdoor area during the cold cold weather. We had lots of fun finding icy shapes and icicles, and even made an icy dinosaur café!
