Y2 Horniman Visit

November 13, 2014 – November 14, 2014 all-day

Dear Parent/Carer,

As part of our creative curriculum, we will be visiting the Horniman Museum and Gardens on Friday 14th November 2014.
We will be looking around the Africa world’s exhibition and take part in a museum led workshop that will allow us to experience a rich mixture of African sculpture, dress, music and decorative art.

As there is a charge for the workshops, we are asking for a contribution of £2.50 per child. Please give the contribution in a named envelope to your class teacher. However, if your child qualifies for Pupil Premium, your contribution will be covered by funding we receive.

Please ensure your child arrives at school by 9.00am so that they can be registered quickly. We will be leaving the school before 9.30am and will not be able to wait for late-comers. We will be back at school by 3.25pm.

Please ensure your child is suitably dressed for the day (sensible walking footwear and a waterproof coat).

All KS1 children are now entitled to a free packed lunch. If you require one, please let the office know by Monday 20th October.

We would like to take several parents along with us who could walk with small groups of children and support their learning. Please inform the class teacher if you are available to help. Those parents coming will be chosen out of a hat and will be informed in person. If you would like to come, please fill out a List 99 at the school office. Adults are not allowed to attend school trips without this check being done every academic year.

Thank you for your support as always,

The Year 2 Team
