Year 3: Groovy Greeks

April 18, 2018 – April 19, 2018 all-day

Our learning for the summer term is centred on Ancient Greece and we’re hoping to get off to a thrilling start in the first week after Easter.

On Thursday 19th April, we will have an all day workshop, learning about: life in Ancient Greece; Greek warfare and armour; Greek myths and in the afternoon we will hold our own Olympic games (Ancient Greece style of course!).

The cost of the workshop is £6.50 and we would be very grateful if you could bring in money for this before Thursday 19th April.  Please remember that if your child is entitled to Pupil Premium, your contribution will be covered by the funding we receive. You can check entitlement with your class teacher or the office.

If you have any old sheets that we can use to make Greek chitons (a bit like a toga), please could you bring these into school this week or on the first day back. Alternatively, large white t-shirts that can be cut would be great. Large, thick cardboard boxes to make shields and armour would also be very welcome!!

As always, thank you very much for your support.

Best wishes

Year 3 Team
