Year 6: Tower of London Trip

October 20, 2021 all-day

To further enrich the children’s learning on the Tudors, we have booked a trip to the Tower of London on Wednesday 20th October.

At the Tower of London, the children will immerse themselves in history by taking part in an interactive story-telling session exploring Crime and Punishment in Tudor times and touring the Tower, examining artefacts from the Tudor era.

Children will need to arrive promptly at school on the day and will require a packed lunch (in a rucksack or ‘hands free’ bag) and a waterproof coat. If you require a school packed lunch for this trip, please let the school office know. Children who receive free school meals will be provided with a school packed lunch. We will be walking to Brockley station, travelling by train to London Bridge (15-minute journey) and walking along the river to the Tower of London. COVID 19 safety measures and social distancing precautions will be strictly adhered to throughout the trip. We strongly advise all children bring a face mask to wear on the train, unless they are exempt. We will return to school before 3:25pm so children can be collected at Myatt Garden at the usual time or walk home if we have permission for them to do this.

Please inform the school of any relevant medical or other special circumstances affecting your child, including any treatment which may be required during the visit.
