FOMG – Christmas Fair News

The next big event on the Friends of Myatt Garden calendar is our Christmas Fair on Friday 7 December from 3.30 – 5.30pm. We are hoping to hold a cost-free fair where all inputs needed are donated, meaning that all funds raised go towards enriching our children’s learning experience.

There are loads of ways you can get involved, from helping out on the day to donating food, drink, prizes and more. We will need lots of volunteers to man stalls and help set up and clear away, so please sign up on our rota from Mon 3 Dec (the week of the fair) which will be on a big board under the canopy, or email: now to let us know your availability.

If you are happy to contribute, donations can be dropped off at the school office from Monday 3 December.

We need:

  • Bottles or boxes of red wine for the mulled wine stall;
  • Chocolate (from 50p up) and drinks (bottles of wine/ beer/fancy soft drinks) for the tombola;
  • New or nearly-new presents, such as bubble bath, jewellery, scarves, CDs, DVDs and candles for Secret Santa;
  • Money envelopes for the money tree will be sent home with the children. Please fill them as per the instructions and return them to the office;
  • Donations for the bric-a-brac stall, including home-made crafts such as bunting, knitted items and pencil cases;
  • Cash donations to cover the costs of food and drink stalls can be made at the office or through;
  • We welcome prizes suitable for our raffle, such as shopping vouchers, store gifts, entertainment or experience passes.

On the day, we would be grateful for any mince pies, cakes and cookies (home made or shop-brought) that you are able to donate. A small note to show if the item contains any allergens is very helpful e.g. eggs, gluten.

Christmas Trees
If you are planning to buy a real Christmas tree, then look no further. FOMG is running its very successful scheme again this year, which raises money for the school. Trees must be paid for before they are delivered on either Saturday 1st or 15th December.  Prices are the same as two years ago, so pick up a leaflet from the school office or email:
