Information for Families: 19.7.21

It’s going to be a hot week – please make sure your child wears a hat, loose cool clothes and brings a water bottle to school. We will be sign-posting shaded areas, encouraging more sedate playtimes and keeping them as hydrated as we can!

Like so many schools and organisations, we are reeling from the recent surge in COVID cases. As you know, over the last few weeks we have had a number of bubbles closed. Sadly, this has meant that Year 2 are unable to return to school this term – this is devastating for everyone.

As we move into Stage 4 this week, we would urge everyone to maintain the present procedures in place. We will be continuing to work in bubbles and would ask all families to continue to wear masks at the gate, unless they are exempt. We are desperate to keep all other bubbles in school until the end of term.

Next year
Each class will be meeting their new teacher this week and finding out about the exciting learning ahead. We will be sharing this information with you on Wednesday as well.

Next year will start with two INSET days – Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd September. The children from Year 1 – Year 6 will return to school on Friday 3rd September.

Your child will be bringing their annual report home this week – they will be available to collect from the gate each afternoon. Any that are not collected by the end of Wednesday will be available for collection from the main school office from Thursday.

Book Fund
If anyone would like to celebrate the end of the year by donating to a Myatt Garden Fund for books, you can donate at:

Please pay no attention to the target amount, this has to be there in order to set up the page – we will be delighted with any donation. Any money collected will be used to provide additional quality books for our class book areas.
