It’s two week until Mestival 2019 – Myatt’s Summer Music Festival and excitement is building.
There are still lots of ways to get involved but, most importantly, come along and support us – all the money we raise will go straight to the school.
The less we need to spend to stage the fair, the more money we raise, so any help you can give by donating, would be hugely appreciated:
Beer, Pimms, Rum, Prosecco & Lemonade for the bar
Cakes and biscuits for the cafe
Nearly-new books and toys for the Bric-a-brac stall
Cash donations to buy meat for the BBQ and cover other costs
Loan a gazebo or umbrella to protect us from the sun or rain!
Donations can be dropped off at the school office from Thursday 27 June (cakes on Friday 28th or on the day)
If you would like to help run a stall or get a group of friends together to oversee one on the day, keep an eye out for signup lists in the playground or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
We have a great line up again this year with parent DJs, parent bands, drumming workshops and a drumming performance, an Environmental Performance, T-shirt printing, Raffle, Bouncy Castle, Games, Arts & Crafts and so much more.
Art specialist teacher Karen will be printing on old T-shirts and fleeces at the school fair. Using printing block techniques Karen will be using art to bring our community together, fight for climate justice and share the love.
Brazilian Drumming Workshops
Would you like to play some drums?
Lily May (Mother of Eva yr4 and Elias yr1) will be running two Brazilian rhythm workshops culminating in a performance at the summer fair.
Sign up at the office the week of the fair. There will be 2 workshops with 30 participants per session.
Look forward to seeing you there !
