Keep checking the school calendar for dates for school events, trips and holidays.
For Reception and Year 6 Parents only
All parent/carers will need to read the information below, before making the decision whether they would like their child to OPT-OUT of the height and weights measurement checks. Reception and Year 6 children will be automatically measured unless the parent/carer specifies they do not want their child to be measured.
If they DO NOT want their child be measured they will need to either print the OPT-OUT part of the letter (page 3) or ask the school office to do so and hand back in time for our team to collect on the day of the measurements.
Our Birthday Party!
Saturday 25th September – 12pm – 3pm
Cost: This a party so all activities – including food – are FREE!
Optional to bring:
Food to share (see details below), picnic rug to place on the bank, T-shirt for printing and fancy dress if you choose.
The Friends of Myatt Garden have done a fabulous job helping us organise our birthday party and we’d love for you all to join us and enjoy the amazing activities:
• Bubble Show and bubble workshop;
• Bouncy Castle;
• Live Music and DJs;
• Mandala stencil printing on T-shirts (bring your own T-shirt or similar);
• 1970s campervan photo booth;
• Face painting;
• 50th anniversary exhibition in the hall;
• Riverford Organic with free prize draw of a veg box and a fruit box, and apples for all to try.
• Fancy dress – 1970s or otherwise – funky bright colours welcomed!
This is a Bring and Share party, so please contribute and donate some food if you can (bring on the day from 10am).
Finger food is best, but it must not contain nuts. Our suggestions include: cakes, cupcakes, sandwiches, doughnuts, sausage rolls, samosas, pakoras, naan/chapattis, corn cakes, saltfish fritters, mini-quiche, chicken drumsticks, cheese and pineapple on sticks, breadsticks, cheese and crackers and bread rolls or similar. We also need soft drinks and will be making homemade lemonade – donations of lemon or sugar can be brought to the office for Friday 17th September.
We need volunteers from each year group to help, and we would be grateful if parents and carers could fill in a slot on this form: https://forms.gle/ucBmVgJRDcnbGyho9.
Activities are allocated to year groups to give parents an opportunity to meet and spend time with other parents in their child’s year group. This will be a fun day, but we can only make it happen with willing volunteers. If you can join us from 9am to help set-up or stay at the end to help clear away we would really appreciate your support.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you all!
